The sky. Bask in all its beauty.
Bright blue stretching beneath a warm yellow sun,
The sun fading slowly,
Leaving streaks of pink,
Until night arrives, dark and star-filled.
Its mellow nature contrasts its wrath.
Moods shift,
Blue surrendering to gray.
Rain clashes against the ground,
Lightning rips through the clouds,
An untamed force.
Wind gushes, scathing
Everything it touches.
Yet despite it all,
Humans dare to reach these heights.
They roam the land,
Yet yearn for the heavens.
They ventured through the ground,
But curiosity lifted their eyes
To what hovered above.
Their reliance on intelligence,
Some considered it foolish,
Others believed in it.
They began by mimicking
The birds that ruled the air,
With iron feathers and clockwork wings.
They flapped against the merciless wind,
Their prayers and hopes set on victory,
Only to meet a crushing death.
The sky was not where they were meant to belong,
Bodies made solely to walk the ground.
Yet with each defeat,
Their minds reached for something higher.
The fear was immense,
The weight of past mistakes on their shoulders,
The countless failures and defeat of man.
Yet belief made them soar.
It rose without a roar.
Silent wings leaning into the world.
As their intelligence reached new heights,
They learned to work with the wind.
As time passed,
The death was less.
The humans adapted.
Their minds full of understanding,
Wielding intelligence like wings.
They learned and adapted with
Their own wings.
Silent victory.
